Congratulations to the Wai’anae Seariders. They have just been awarded the contract to produce the 50 Voices of Statehood segments that will be broadcast on a weekly basis on KHON Channel 2, KITV Channel 4, KHNL Channel 8, and KGMB Channel 9. These weekly 55 second vignettes will be airing as PSAs. If I heard correctly, I think Mr. Klompus mentioned that they bid the job for somewhere around $15,200, which comes out to $304 per video, for 50 videos. That’s a good price.

Jim Burns and Dodi Brown ( the little girl holding the Statehood newspaper back in 59) were taped last week and this month, the commission voted for: Elmer Cravalho, Dave Parker, Bill Paty, Bill Richardson, Kekuni Blaisdell, Abigail Kawananakoa and Winona Rubin.
