Brian Niiya is the resource center director at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i. A public historian specializing in Japanese American history and culture, he has written, edited, and/or curated numerous books, articles, exhibitions and other presentations on a wide range of topics in that field. Though his parents are from Hawai'i, he is a proud kotonk from Southern California who has lived in Honolulu for the past twelve years.
