The re-enactment will be preceded by a presentation by David Keanu Sai, who will provide a context for understanding why the signatures were being gathered by the Hui Aloha `Aina o na Wahine and the Hui Aloha `Aina o na Kane for the Ku`e Petitions of 1897, and what happened as a result.
